EarlyCDT^TM and Insurance

Oncimmune handles all billing and claim processing for EarlyCDT-Lung^TM directly with the patient’s insurance provider on the patient’s behalf if they have Medicare Part B as their primary provider OR if they have private health insurance coverage. We will work closely with your patient and your office to assist in securing maximum coverage for the test. At this time we are an out-of-network provider for private insurers. EarlyCDT-Lung^TM has a widely accepted CPT code (83520). There are a number of relevant ICD-9 codes that apply to the use of the test. We also have gained valuable information from our early launch clients about reimbursement for follow-on CT scanning which may be needed if a positive EarlyCDT-Lung^TM result is reported. IF the patient does not have either type of insurance plan noted above, payment from the patient is required at the time the blood sample is submitted. There is a payment envelope provided with the collection kit materials. Oncimmune can accept credit cards, check, or money orders. We also offer a payment plan on an individual basis. The price for EarlyCDT-Lung^TMis $475. We can also provide financial assistance to patients in the form of discount vouchers on an individual basis. We would provide those vouchers to you to use with those patients who do not have Medicare Plan B or private insurance coverage, and for whom the test would be a financial hardship.

Insurance coverage varies by plan for all laboratory services and benefits. Oncimmune is committed to expand coverage for EarlyCDT-Lung^TM. Even though we are a new test, we have assembled extensive clinical and economic data to support our claims and reimbursement.
