How to Assess Your Risk of Lung Cancer

The Male and Female Risk Tables are based on algorithms created by clinicians at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre that were developed from extensive data that took into account age, smoking history and consumption levels to establish an estimated risk for smokers and ex-smokers. In this simplified version of the model below we do not take into account a number of additional risk factors, such as first degree relatives and we have adjusted the calculation to give 5 year risk. Please complete this brief interactive questionnaire to better understand your risk of lung cancer.
